Adaptive Support Diver

Do you want to learn how to best support a dive buddy who has a physical or mental challenge? The PADI Adaptive Support Diver course will increase your awareness of divers’ varying abilities, and explores adaptive techniques to apply while diving or freediving with a buddy with a disability.

  • Skills you will learn:


    • Becoming more aware and mindful of individual considerations when diving with people with disabilities

    • Adaptive techniques that can be applied while diving with buddies with mental and/or physical challenges

    • And more!

  • Prerequisites:


    • Open Water Diver or Freediver

    • At least 15 years old

    • Completed Diver Medical Form

    • Completed the EFR Primary and Secondary Care course within 24 months

    • Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding

    • Continue Education Administrative Document

  • Course Requirements:


    • Knowledge Development – This will be in the classroom with our instructors. Contact us to sign up.

    • Confined Water – This specialty requires 1 confined water dive in our private pool.

    • Open Water Dives – This specialty requires a minimum of 1 dive.
