Experience Weightlessness

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. PADI dive shops offer this program either in a pool, off a beach or from a dive boat. You can try scuba close to home or while you’re on vacation at a dive destination. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

  • Skills you will learn:


    • Learn about scuba gear

    • How to breathe using SCUBA underwater

    • How to swim wearing scuba gear

    • And more!

  • Prerequisites:

    • At least 10 years old

    • Completed Diver Medical Form

    • Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding

  • Course Requirements:

    • Your adventure begins online, with a short e-learning class that introduces you to SCUBA. This can be done on your own time or at the shop. Once completed it is time to get wet!

    • Confined Water Dives – In our private dive training pool, you will dive under the direct supervision of one of our dive professionals, learning safety and skills while having tons of fun.

  • Cost: $85


    • Includes everything you will need. Just bring a swimsuit and towel and we will do the rest.

    • If you enroll in an Open Water Diver Course within seven calendar days of your Discover Scuba Diving class at Fluvanna Dive Center, we will take $50 off your Open Water Diver Course price.
