The PADI Rescue Diver course is an exhilarating and empowering experience that takes diving skills to a whole new level. It’s designed to expand divers’ knowledge and confidence, teaching them how to prevent and manage diving emergencies both in and out of the water. Through a combination of classroom sessions, practical scenarios, and role-playing exercises, participants learn essential rescue techniques, emergency management, and how to recognize and respond to diver stress, panic, and unconsciousness. The course not only enhances safety awareness but also fosters teamwork and camaraderie among divers. By completing the PADI Rescue Diver course, divers not only become more proficient and self-reliant but also gain the skills to assist others in need, making diving adventures safer and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

    Assisting a Panicked diver

    Rescuing an unconscious diver

  • Prerequisites:


    Adventure Diver w/ Underwater Navigation Dive or Advanced Open Water Diver

    At least 12 years old

    EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months

    Completed Diver Medical Form

    Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding

    Continue Education Administrative Document

  • Course Requirements:


    Knowledge Development – Online academics.

    Open Water Sessions – This course requires skills and scenarios done in open water. A good portion of the time will be spent on the surface, but some skills and scenarios are underwater. This class normally takes 2 full days to complete.
